Antique Tibetan Prayer Book Manuscript, possibly 18th or earlier. This manuscript is made with multi-layered paper, and contains detailed drawings of deities in the first two pages. The writing is in Tibetan headed (dbu can) script using gold ink, and each leaf is written on both sides. It displays some of the most superb ucen calligraphy produced in Tibet, the gold letters are pleasingly spaced and very exactly executed on the lustrous blue ground, which represent ‘the clear empty space, the void from which all things arise’. Some pages have very old marginal tears from frequent turning of the pages.
