Sehra is a traditional head dress worn by Indian grooms on their weddings, it typically comprises a head adornment that attaches to the groom’s pagri (turban) and has garlands hanging covering the groom’s face. It is associated with the prestige and honour of the grooms, they are expected to carry it with grace and élan. The sehra is also worn to protect the groom from “nazar” or the evil eye.
