Excellent quality and large 48.5 cm. tall  Ming Dynasty pottery figure dating from 1368-1644 AD. This court female Attendant is standing over a high hexagonal plinth and wears fine robes in various blue tones. The unglazed areas have pigmented colors in red, black and white. Finely painted facial details. The head is detachable, as often seen on the larger figures from this period.
The figure holds a dark blue urn at chest level. Very impressive and heavy conversation piece!
Condition: Excellent, finely preserved glaze and pigment, undamaged and no repairs. Ex. Danish Collection.
