Constantius II (337 – 361 CE)


Bronze Coin. Found in the ancient sands of Lutecia in Paris.

Flavius Julius Constantius, the second son of Constantine I and Fausta, he ascended to the throne with his brothers Constantine II and Constans upon their father’s death. In 340, Constantius’ brothers clashed over the western provinces of the empire. Ruling for 24 years, he was the longest reigning son of Constantine and therefore, arguably, the most successful.

This piece includes a custom made box with a small LCD screen that plays a video relevant to the history of the item.
